Book Thoughts 10.27.16
Completely spoiler free review, thoughts and more of books that I read.
Today's book Harry Potter and the Cursed Child which is not actually a book, it is a script.
First things first, I want to just say this, I REALLY enjoyed this book/script. A lot. I can totally understand why it did not go well with other people, and I know their frustrations but for me, it made me want to go see the play.
As I was reading there were so many moments when I had to put the book down and just wonder what on Earth was happening. A lot of it was so bizarre to me and it had me (at multiple times) shout "NO!" to the characters.
But let's go into a little bit more detail on what this book/script actually is about.
This script is about Harry Potter and his family several years after the last Harry Potter book by J.K. Rowling (which left me in tears, to be honest.)
It follows an adventure belonging to Harry Potter's youngest son Albus Potter, who is a little different than his other siblings. *There are several reasons why he was different but I feel that even these are spoilers and I will not be including them.
Albus and his father have a bit of a rough relationship for reasons explained in books, also Harry starts feeling a certain something he had not felt in a long while. This worries him, but only slightly in his natural Harry Potter way.
To know anything else about the script you are going to have to read it for yourself.
All in all, I really liked it and I would read it again along with J.K. Rowling's other works. I believe on Goodreads I gave it a 4/5 star rating, and as far as I can remember it was PG rated.
My favorite characters were Hermione (for obvious reasons), and Scorpius (Draco's son.)
I hope you enjoyed reading my little book thought post. If you did like it please let me know down in the comments. Most likely I will be making more of these types of posts in the future!
Pardon my late posting but my account was not wanting to work with me properly.
