A Short and Scary Story

Now imagine; I am sitting on my bed in the early morning light with my laptop on, classical music on, and a fresh cup of green tea steeping beside me. I begin my math lesson -which I take on the this website- everything going as smoothly as it can be while still being math. I feel a slight tickle on my leg, being a person with a lot of hair and a fan usually on, I think nothing of this small happening.

And then, this tickle begins to move down my leg, feeling slightly annoyed I glance down quickly and begin to brush away the 'hair'. Low and behold there is a quarter sized spider that could possibly have been a brown recluse just chilling on my leg. Feeling frightened I brush harder and the innocent spider goes flying; straight onto my beautiful comforters. Screeching slightly I brush once more and it is gone. Where to, I am not sure. I am just thankful that it is gone.

Does it freak me out in the slightest that I didn't kill it on the spot and now I know it is roaming around my room near my bed waiting for me to go to sleep tonight? The short answer, yes. It freaks me out a lot.

*Goes and sprays lavender oil all over*

Still is freaking me out

*Places a pair of 'spider squashing shoes' near bed*

My heart is still beating fast. I gave you a chance spider, but if I we meet again you won't be so lucky. I have been given orders to kill on sight.

Best of luck. (Yes to myself, but also to all of you who also do not like spiders)

Bethany
