Stormy nights

The thunder rumbles in the distance.
Another streak of lightning lights up the sky,
and thunder responds.
I sip my hot tea carefully,
and flip the page of my favorite book.

I don't know about you, but I love stormy, rainy, thundery(is that a word? sure.)  nights where I can curl up in my bed with the book I'm reading at the moment and a large mug of tea.

Here are 9 Things To do when it's raining outside.

whether it's daytime or nighttime don't let the rain stop you from doing something amazing.

1. Go to the zoo.
Yes! I'm so serious when I say this, and this is because drizzly wet days aren't crowded at the zoo, and the animals love the cool weather, and they might come out of hiding to enjoy the day, so why can't you?

2. Sit outside in the rain.
first, grab your journal, or art project, or a book. Find somewhere dry and cozy to sit outside (this means the porch for me) and just draw, write, and get inspired by the quiet rain.
Disclaimer:
I'm not saying go outside when there's a tornado watch and draw tornados on your page.

3. Host a rainy day tea party.
Is this an actual legit thing? I have no idea, but let's make it one!
Call/text up your companions and have them come over and enjoy tea, talk, and maybe some games? Whatever you fancy.
(heh fancy.)

4. Book club
this is basically just an alternative to a tea party/you could add it to your tea, but I thought it was worth mentioning.
(wow, do all my ideas have something to do with tea or books? yes.)

5. Go sightseeing.
okay, so this might seem weird to some people, but I'm talking about in your car seeing the world in a whole new light. (ahem weather.)

6. Game night with your family.
hey let's bond!

and if your family isn't into games....

7. Family movie night.
that's right, I said it. My family likes to watch cool adventure movies on rainy nights.

8. Go dance in the rain!
cliché? Yes. An amazing experience? Yes. Something you should do? Yes.

9. Last but not least,
just read! Cozy up anywhere and read.
(Grab that tea too girl.)
